Who doesn’t want all the benefits that come along with with going to the gym – feeling lean, strong, confident, energetic and healthy. We all know that going to the gym is good for us but the one thing that I don't like about the gym is being stuck indoors. I'm in an office all day, five days a week, so when it comes to my free time I just want to get outside. The last thing I want to do is go from one box (the office) to another box (the gym). I don't like the claustrophobic feeling of being sandwiched between four walls when I workout and I feel the same way about going on vacation. The last thing I'm interested in is sitting in some hotel. That’s why my idea of a great getaway is grabbing my sleeping bag and heading for the mountains. Whether it’s a day hike or putting a 40-pound pack on my back and heading out into the wild for 5-days, it’s the best cardio you can get – especially at 9,000+ feet of elevation! As much as I love traveling and getting out in nature, I hate missing my workouts. This is exactly the reason I first fell in love with resistance band workouts. Forget all the researched-backed advantages that bands have over free weights and machines, the best thing of all is that they are light and portable, which you definitely can't say about free weights.I recently read an article about how Dwayne Johnson has his own personal hardcore gym transported to every movie set that he’s on. Now, no knock on The Rock, but the rest of us don’t have that luxury - but with resistance bands they’re so small and lightweight that you can get the most hardcore muscle building workout anytime and anywhere you go. No matter what your fitness goal, whether it's weight loss, or muscle building, make sure to check out some of the TA2 (Train Anytime/Train Anywhere) resistance band workout programs.
